Delaware State University Athletics Clear Bag Policy

To both provide a safe environment for fans and spectators as well as improve our ticketing line wait times into Alumni Stadium, we will be implementing a new clear bag policy. This will be enforced for all ticketed events in Alumni Stadium beginning with the Fall 2024 seasons.

Approved Bags:
     Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC
    • Size will not exceed 12x6x12.
 
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
Small Bags
    • Non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5" in size, with or without a handle or strap that can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bag.
Prohibited Bags (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
 
  • Backpack
  • Purse
  • Printed patterned plastic bag.
  • Colored plastic storage bag
  • Reusable grocery tote
  • Fanny Pack
  • Mesh Bag
List of Prohibited Items:
 
  • Umbrellas
  • Selfie sticks
  • Weapons
  • Smoke products or devices to include vapes, lighters, flares, or fireworks of any kind.
  • Illegal substances, drugs, or chemicals of any kind
  • Projectiles
  • Metal, plastic, glass, or aluminum containers of any kind
  • Poles of any kind (metal, plastic, or wooden)
  • Any outside food or beverage
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Inflated balls of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Streamers and confetti
  • Drones
  • Aerosol cans
  • Hoverboards
  • Vaping Mechanisms
  • Costumes  and/or stage props of any kind to include but not limited to nun chucks, pitchforks, sling blades, axes, swords, whips, nooses, etc.
The University reserves the right to prohibit or restrict the carrying of any item into a building or facility when there is a reasonable expectation that it will compromise safety, interfere with ingress or egress, or deprive others of their rights such as by interfering with others' ability to see, hear, or participate in the event.
*DSU Athletics will sell Hornet branded Clear Bags*
  • Medical Bags or kits are acceptable and will be searched at the gate.
DIAPER BAGS
 
  • Diapers must be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium.
