ORANGEBURG, S.C. --- The Delaware State women's volleyball team earned its fourth win in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) competition after shutting out the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University on Sunday.

Junior middle blocker
Alondra Maldonado led the offense with a match-high in both kills (10) and total points (11). She added a pair of assisted blocks on the defensive side of the ball in the win.

Karen Cordero also recorded a double-digit point performance after tallying seven kills and a game-best three service aces.

Alayna Lacy (15) and
Malgorzata Andersohn (13) combined for 28 of the team's 32 total assists.

Jasmal Cruz dug the Hornets out of 18 Bulldog attack attempts. As a team, Delaware State held South Carolina State to a .030 hitting percentage.

The Hornets return on Friday for a MEAC matchup with the Bears of Morgan State University. First serve from Memorial Hall is currently scheduled for 6 p.m.
