NORFOLK, Va. --- The Delaware State women's volleyball team earned a 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) victory over the Spartans of Norfolk State University on Sunday.

Delaware State was lead offensively by
Valeria Otero and
Alondra Maldonado who recorded double digits in both points and kills in the win.

Otero notched a team-best 12.5 points by way of 11 kills, one solo block and one assisted block. She was one dig shy of a double-double, finishing the game with nine. Maldonado landed a team-high 12 kills to help her team ensure the win.

Defensively, libero
Jasmal Cruz totaled a game-high 22 digs. Middle blockers
Kelsie Dawson (4) and
Danielle Allen (2) were in on a total of six assisted blocks.

Setters
Malgorzata Andersohn (25) and
Alayna Lacy (19) combined for 44 of the team's 47 assists.

Delaware State returns to Memorial Hall on Friday for another MEAC matchup with North Carolina Central University. First serve is currently scheduled for 4 p.m.
