Baltimore, MD (April 16-17) Delaware State competes in the Hopkins/Loyola Track & Field Invitational. The Hornets rested a few of their athletes but still finished first with a score of 132 points. The hosts, Johns Hopkins finishes second at 105 points.
Malachi Little places first in the 200 meters at 21.83 seconds. Thomas Kalieta Jr. finishes sixth at 22.15 seconds.
The 4 x 400 relay team of Julian Brown, Malachi Little, Thomas Kalieta Jr and Nathanael Guy finish first with a time of 3:20.34.
Little's success continues as he finishes first in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line with his season's best time of 48.74 seconds. Malachi Little has now finished first in eight events so far this season. Julian Brown places second in the same event.
Nathanael Guy places third in the 800 meters at 1:58.35. Gerald Amobi is not too far behind, finishing in fifth at 1:58.54.
Tayshaun Chisholm finishes first in the 110 hurdles, crossing the finish line at 14.59 seconds.
Karim Beatty places first in the long jump soaring 6.89 meters through the air. Forrest Booker finishes fourth at 6.37 meters.
Thomas White finishes first in the triple jump at 13.98 meters. Forrest Booker finishes second in the same event at 13.93 meters.
Emperor Campbell finishes first in the Discus with a throw of 45.66 meters.
Campbell also finishes second in the hammer at 39.49 meters, while Andrew Horne finishes fourth at 36.02 meters.
Albert Norman finishes third in the 3000 Steeplechase at 9:40.55 a new season high for him and he now currently owns the fastest time in the MEAC for the event. Norman's steeplechase time is also a new DSU school record.
Thomas White places fifth with a throw of 33.57 meters.
Andrew Horne finishes sixth in the shot put at 12.85 meters.
