Dover, Del. (Apr. 12, 2021) --- Senior Tamrin Swann scored a season-high three goals, but it was not enough in the Hornets' 20-7 loss to Wofford in a Southern Conference match at Alumni Stadium today.
Wofford's Ally Furnari led all players with eight goals and nine points, while teammate Elisabeth Ralph added six goals and seven points in the contest.
Swann scored Delaware State's first goal to tie the match at 1-1 less than a minute into the contest.
The Terriers responded by scoring five straight, and seven of the next eight goals, to open up an 8-2 lead.
Wofford led 12-3 at the half.
Swann tallied her third goal 15 seconds into the second period to pull the Hornets to within 12-4, but Wofford responded by scoring the next four goals to open up a double-digit lead.
Rosella Nardi scored two goals for the Hornets, while Emmy McGill and Gwenna Gentle tallied one each.
