DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State University women's basketball team dropped a 77-50 nonconference contest at home to the Saint Peter's University Peacocks on Saturday.
 
Freshman guard Joy Watkins led the Hornets offense with 17 points, including knocking down a game-high four three-pointers. She also hauled in four rebounds and took the ball away from the Peacocks once.
 
Senior forward Zoe Holmes notched her second consecutive double-double with 11 points and a game-best 11 rebounds. Holmes also tallied a contest-high five steals. Sianny Sanchez-Oliver chipped in with 10 points of her own in the loss.
 
Delaware State University will be back in action Tuesday night in a road matchup against Fairleigh Dickinson University. Tipoff is currently scheduled for 7 p.m.
