University Park, Pa. --- The Delaware State University women's basketball team dropped a 120-51 nonconference contest on the road to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Tuesday.

The Hornets battled early on in the first quarter holding three ties at 7-7, 9-9 and 11-11 before the Nittany Lions would pull away and never looked back.

Delaware State had two in double-digit points led by
Joy Watkins who recorded a team-high 16 points, including a team-best two three-pointers and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe.

Alexis Moragne added 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and sunk both of her free throw attempts. She tied for a team-high seven boards and dished out two helpers in the loss.
Unique Miller chipped in with eight points and hauled in seven rebounds in the contest.

Delaware State is back on home court on Friday for the Route 1 Rivalry with University of Delaware. Tipoff from Memorial Hall is scheduled for 7 p.m.
