Dover, Del. (Nov. 15, 2021) --- The Delaware State women's basketball team is in Big 10 country to take on Penn State Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
The Lady Hornets (0-2) are coming off a 51-36 loss to former MEAC rival Hampton last Thursday. DSU led 13-9 after a three-pointer by Kiana Coomber in the first quarter and was ahead 13-11 after the first 10 minutes.
The Lady Hornets trailed 22-17 at the half and never recovered.
Coomber led DSU with 12 points, while freshman guard Sianny Sanchez-Oliver added 11 in the contest.
Through two games, Sanchez Oliver leads the Lady Hornets in scoring at 11.5 points per game, while Coomber is averaging a team-high 7.5 rebounds per contest.
Penn State is 2-0 this season with wins over Long Island (85-66) and Rider (83-69).
