HORNETS OUTRIDE NEW PALTZ IN JUMPING SEAT CONTEST

Felton, Del. (Sep. 28, 2019) --- Delaware State's jumping seat riders turned in impressive performances in a 9-2 victory over New Paltz at the Dovington Training Center today.

The Hornets won the contest 9-2, posting a 5-1 victory on the Flat and winning 4-1 in Fences.

DSU's Zoe Kirsch and Sydney Wicklund each recorded two wins and earned Most Outstanding Performer awards.

Kirsch, riding on “Etty,” was stellar in the season debut with a score of 83 on her Fences ride.

Wicklund also earned a Fences point for the Hornets, tallying 76 points aboard “Lophius.”

Gabrielle Fournier (74 points) and Erin Gordon (71) also turned in winning rides for the Hornets in Fences.

DSU's Miranda Adcock had the second best Fences score for the Hornets with 78 points.

Wicklund was MVP in the Flat competition with a score of 77 aboard “PJ.”

In addition to Kirsch (61), Fournier (59), Gordon (55) and Annie Cimoli (58) were winners on the Flat for the Hornets.
