PRECIOUS IGWEBUIKE WITH A GOOD START IN MEAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Greensboro, NC. (May 2) --- Delaware State competed in day 1 of the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Precious Igwebuike is third in the heptathlon through four events with 2851 points overall.  Igwebuike finished second in the 100 hep hurdles with a time of 14.97 seconds, fourth in the Heptathlon high jump at 1.58 meters, first in the shot put at 10.77 meters and fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 26.98 seconds.

Tiajah Robinson placed 10th in the high jump with a mark of 1.58 meters.

Second day of the Championships will begin tomorrow at 11:30 pm for the women, with the Long Jump finals. Ahnrea McCaskill will compete in that event for the Hornets.
