NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 1, 2026 -- Delaware State sophomore Valerie Ashamu earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors. 
 
Ashamu broke the Delaware State record at the Raleigh Relays, placing seventh in the high jump with a MEAC-best, leap of 1.72m.
