HORNETS WITH FOUR TOP TEN FINISHES IN THE VILLANOVA INVITATIONAL

Staten Island, NY (Feb. 2) ---The Hornets had six top ten finishes this weekend at the Villianova Wildcat Invitational.  

The 4 x 400 relay team comprised of Julian Brown, Kendall Leach, Gerald Amobi and Donte-Rolley Williams finishes second crossing the finish line in 3-minutes-17.70 seconds. (3:17.70). They qualify for the IC4A/ECAC (also known as the 'super conference') championships. 

Julius Allen finishes in third place with a career best time of 6.87 seconds in the 60 meters. His time ties for the tenth fastest in the conference this season. Also, he qualifies for the IC4A/ECAC championships. 

In addition, Allen places tenth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.31 seconds.  

Kavante Dawson places fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.38 seconds). 

Robert Duncan finishes seventh in the weight throw (15.54 meters).

 

Karim Beatty is ninth in the triple jump (12.28 meters) Forrest Booker is tenth (12.09 meters). 

Next meet for the Hornets is the UMES Cappy Invite on Feb. 8.
