HORNETS FALL TO AUBURN, FRESNO STATE IN SAT. CONTESTS

Fresno, Cal. (Feb. 3, 2019 --- The Delaware State equestrian team wrapped up a West Coast trip with losses to No. 1 Auburn and No. 10 Fresno State in Fresno, California on Saturday.

Auburn lived up to its top status with a 15-1 victory over the Hornets, ranked ninth in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association poll. The Tigers swept the Hunt Seat rides 8-0 and posted a 7-1 victory in the Western competition.

Blayne Bell recorded the Hornets' lone win with a victory in Horsemanship.

Fresno State defeated DSU 11-3, winning 7-2 in the Western rides and 4-1 in Hunt Seat contests.

Bell turned in another stellar performance with a Reining score of 69.5 aboard “CJ” to earn Most Outstanding Performer honors in the event vs. Fresno State.

Grace Wilson also posted a Reining point, while Eva Epstein turned in a winning Fences ride for the Hornets in the Fresno State contest.
