HORNETS FINISH IN FIFTH PLACE

Staten Island, NY (Jan. 4) --- The Hornets finish in fifth place at the Wagner College Invitational, scoring a total of 61 points. This is their first event since December 1st at the Eastern Shore Lid Lifter Invitational.

Delaware State's performance was highlighted by Julian Brown. The sophomore finished first in the 400 meters with a time of 48.72 seconds.  

Brown also was a part of their relay team (Julian Brown, Kendall Leach, Donte Rolley-Williams, and Keith Washington) that placed first in the 4 x 400 relay, crossing the finish line in 3-minutes-18.39 seconds (3.18.39).

Tre Johnson finished first in the Triple Jump with a mark of 14.78 meters. His performance also qualified him for the IC4A/ECAC (Super Conference) Championships, Forrest Booker placed second (13.68m), and Elijah Mclaren finished third (13.57 m)

Mclaren also places third in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.67 meters.
