Newark, Del (Mar. 24) --- Delaware State finishes in second place at the Delaware Classic, scoring a total of 98 points.
Egypt Parker dominated the weekend. Parker finished first in the shot put with a distance of 13.41 meters; the performance qualified her for the Outdoor MEAC Championships. In addition, she finished second in the discus with a recorded distance of 40.81 meters.
The quartet of Tyra Coach, Tikki Wise, Precious Igwebuike, and T'Keyah Macklin places in second with a time of 50.81 seconds in the 4 x 100 relay.
The 4 x 400 relay team comprised of Janae Pitt, Cydney Davis, Martina Smalls, and Mone't Peterson also finishes in second with a time of 4-minutes-8.78 seconds.
Tikki Wise (25.76) and Leah White (26.95) places second and sixth respectively in the 200 meters.
Cydney Davis (1:01.86), Jashella Jenkins (1:02.58), and Leah White (1:04.32) finishes fifth, sixth, and eight respectively in the 400 meters.
Sylvia Okafor (2:32.17) finishes second in the 800 meters.
Katarzyna Rosikon (18:39.85) places second in the 5000 meters. Rosikon's time was fast enough to qualify her for the Outdoor MEAC Championships.
Janae Pitt (1:07.60) places second in the 400 hurdles.
Amber Conyers finishes third in the triple jump with 10.70 meters, and also places sixth in the long jump with a distance of 4.78 meters.
Tiajah Robinson records a distance of 1.45 meters, placing fourth in the high jump.
