Norfolk, Va. (July 13, 2016) --- The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, of which Delaware State is a member, has announced that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with NIKE to become the official apparel, accessory and equipment brand of the league until 2020.
The MEAC currently has a conference-wide footwear agreement for its 13 member institutions with NIKE, also until 2020.
The MEAC/NIKE apparel, accessory and equipment agreement will begin Sep. 1, 2016. In addition to Delaware State, MEAC members Bethune-Cookman, Coppin State, Florida A&M, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, Savannah State and South Carolina State will benefit from the partnership.

The company will also continue to provide summer internships to deserving MEAC student-athletes at the NIKE World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore. and provide two (2) graduate scholarships annually for MEAC student-athletes attending graduate school.
