Dover, DE --- Ayana Dyette led all players with 20 kills, and Cassandra Joyner had 17 kills, 16 digs and five blocks in Delaware State's 3-1 victory over Howard in MEAC volleyball Thursday. The Hornets won the first two games 30-26 and 30-27. The Bison staved off defeat with a 30-26 victory in game three. Delaware State clinched the win by outlasting Howard 32-30 in game four. The Hornets have won two straight and five of the last six to improve to 6-17 overall and 3-2 in the MEAC. Howard fell to 4-21 and 3-4. Dyette also contributed nine digs and four aces to the win. Delaware State's Laura Huculak had a game-high 44 assists, and topped the Hornets with 19 digs. DSU returns to action on Monday (Oct. 22) at Morgan State (7:00 p.m.).
