Justin Wong

Wong joined the Delaware State University women’s volleyball staff in July 2013. He most recently served as a volunteer assistant coach at Ohio University during the 2012 season. Wong helped guide the Bobcats to a 21-10 overall record and a ninth Mid-America Conference championship in 2012. OU led the MAC in six of seven statistical categories last season.

From to 2009 to ’11, Wong served on the women’s volleyball staff at Miami (Ohio) University. He was a volunteer assistant coach for the RedHawks the first two seasons before being appointed as interim assistant coach in 2011.

Wong was a coach for the Dallas Skyline Juniors club team in 2012; and most recently at Mintonette Sports in Columbus, OH. While at Mintonette, he helped lead the 17s team to a second place finish at the USA Junior Nationals and a No. 40 ranking by Prepvolleyball.com among all 17s national teams in the country.

From 2004-09, Wong was a coach for the Central Ohio Volleyball Club. His 16s team qualified for the nationals in 2006 and his 18s squad finished fifth in Gold at the AAU nationals in 2008.

In addition, he was coach of The Ohio State women’s club volleyball team from 2005-08. His 2008 club, led by three All-America players, was third in the nation.

Wong began his coaching career as a varsity assistant coach at Bishop Harley High School in Columbus, Ohio in 2001. During his seven years there, Bishop Hartley captured numerous district and conference championships; and was Ohio State Tournament runner-up in his final season in 2007.

Wong played for The Ohio State University men’s club team as an outside hitter.

A member of the America Volleyball Coaches Association since 2009, he is CAP I certified, Beach CAP I certified.
