Kaliya Garcia joined the women's basketball program in 2021 as the team’s manager and has since been elevated to the role of Special Assistant to the Head Coach.
Garcia made an immediate impact upon joining the coaching staff, as she was hands-on with a multitude of tasks within the program. This included assisting with recruit visits, serving as the equipment manager, campus events, alumni relations, community service, and special projects as assigned by the head coach. In her new role, Garcia will be a resource for the entire staff and players.
A native of Harlem in New York City, N.Y., Garcia is a graduate of Liberty High School in Las Vegas, Nev. A four-year member of both the women’s basketball and women’s lacrosse programs, Garcia is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Sports Management at Delaware State.
