2022: Pre-season All-MEAC Second Team

2021: Competed in al 11 games … All-MEAC Third Team honoree … second among Hornet defensive linemen with 22 total tackles to rank 12th on the team overall … recorded 14 solo tackles, including two behind the line-of-scrimmage (-12) … also credited with a sack, three quarterback hurries and a blocked kick … tallied career-high 10 tackles, including eight solo stops, a backfield tackle (-3) and QB hurry in 33-27 overtime win at Wagner (Oct. 2) … had five tackles, including a sack (-2), in 32-24 season-opening win over Bowie State (Sep. 4) … credited with a blocked kick vs. Merrimack (Sep. 25)  … had two tackles and a QB hurry vs. South Carolina State (Oct. 23) ... 2021-22 MEAC Academic All-Star

2020 (spring 2021) : Appeared in two of the five games in the abbreviated season … had two tackles (one solo) in 17-10 win over Howard in the opener (Feb. 27) 

2019: Appeared in three games as reserve defensive lineman… recorded one tackle, solo stop vs. Florida A&M (Nov. 2) ...

High School: Two-year varsity letterwinner at Cheltenham HS … First Team All-Suburban One Conference defensive and offensive lineman as a senior … All-Southeastern Pa., First Team (DE) , All-State Second Team (DE) and First Team Class 5A (DE) selection during senior season … credited with 86 tackles, four sacks, 17 tackles-for-loss and three pass deflections during 12^th grade year … also helped lead team to school’s first playoff win since 2001 as a senior …  junior year honors included Second Team All-SOL defensive line and Third Team All-SOL offensive line … tallied 43 tackles, three sacks and five tackles for loss during junior season    

Personal: Son of Jason and Keita Winfield … has two brothers … born 9/10/01 …  majoring in Business and Finance and minoring in Stocks and Investing … father Jason was a standout defensive lineman for Delaware State from 1988 to ’91, and a member of  Hornets’ 1988, ’89 and ’91 MEAC championship teams … grandson of Vernon Winfield, a sixth round draft pick of the NFL Philadelphia Eagles (72-73) and member of World Football League Philadelphia Bell (74-75) after playing collegiately at the University of Minnesota (68-71)  … full name is Marcus Alexander Winfield.
