Justin joined the Hornets’ football staff in August 2019. Prior to coming to Delaware State, Cort served a one-year stint as Graduate Assistant/Assistant to the Head Coach/Offensive Quality Control at Morehead State University (Ky.). His duties included directing the Morehead football prospect, youth and team focus summer camps, preparing with scouting reports, film breakdown and depth charts; and supporting all recruiting efforts, including game day and official prospect visits.
From Fall 2016 to Spring 2018, Cort performed multiple tasks as a Student Assistant Coach at Sewanee, The University of the South in Tennessee.
After a standout scholastic career as a running back and linebacker at Landon School in Bethesda, Md., Cort competed for two seasons 2014-15) as a slot back at Sewanee.
He received a bachelor’s in Environmental Arts and Humanities (minor in History) from Sewanee in 2018, and master’s in Communications from Morehead State in Jan. 2019.
