Davis is in his second season on the Hornets coaching staff. Davis will assist with the hitters and infielders this season. He earned three letters at DSU from 2010 to '12.

 In 2012, Davis helped lead the Hornets to their first MEAC Tournament championship game appearance in eight years. The 2012 Hornets tied a school record with 40 wins (40-17-1) and captured the MEAC North title.

In addition, Davis helped lead DSU to a NCAA Division I record with 154 hit batters last season. Davis tied a national record by being plunked 37 times last year. He is the team's all-time leader with 76 hit-by-pitches.

In 2011, he was the MEAC Player-of-the-Year and All-MEAC First Team selection. Davis also earned CollegeBaseballInsider.com Division I All-America Honorable Mention and America Baseball Coaches Association All-East Region Second Team honors that year. He was tops in the MEAC and seventh among all NCAA Division I players with a .418 average (74-for-177) during the 2011 season. Also, he led the MEAC (7th in NCAA) with a .516 on-base percentage that year.

Davis' career totals at Delaware State include a .345 batting average, 181 hits, 146 runs scored and 87 RBI in 151 games.
