High School: At West Cabarrus High School, Parks posted a career .426 on-base percentage, .432 slugging percentage, and a .956 fielding percentage. His senior year was his strongest, hitting .323 with 21 hits and 15 RBIs in 20 games. Parks earned two All-Conference selections, was named Team Offensive Player of the Year twice, and made the F&M Bank HS Invitational All-Tournament Team in back-to-back seasons.
