Bristol, TN — The Delaware State University women's wrestling team delivered one of its strongest tournament performances of the semester at the Tornado Open, finishing 2nd out of 23 teams. Four Hornets earned podium finishes to lead the team scoring.
 

Icart Galumette captured 1st place, while Juliana Diaz secured 2nd. Louise Juitt added a 3rd-place finish, and Jehieli Chavarria placed 4th. DSU added several match wins throughout the day. Juitt recorded a fall in 4:00 over Montreat's U. Peters-Gutierrez. Haylie Briscoe earned a decision victory at 160 pounds. Christina Lisboa added a fall in 1:38 over R. Stokes (NC) and later picked up a win by forfeit.

The Hornets showed depth across multiple weights and continued to build momentum through the winter competition slate.
