TOWSON, Md. --The Delaware State Hornets took a 3-0 lead in the second inning and never trailed from there on the way to a 3-1 win against the Towson Tigers on Tuesday.
Freshman Rhyannon Stanley (4-2) got the win for Delaware State (16-14). The right-hander went 6.2 innings, giving up one run on eight hits, allowing two walks and striking out two.
Offensively, the Hornets were paced by freshman Mi'Shon King, who went 1-for-2 on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Towson put one run on the scoreboard before the game was over, but the Hornets still held on for the 3-1 win.
