COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Delaware State women's tennis was unable to secure the win on Sunday versus the South Carolina State University Bulldogs. It was a 5-2 decision.

The Hornets went 0-3 in the MEAC Round-Up.

The Bulldogs claimed all three doubles matches. Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yeung and Lucia Casas Blas won their last eight doubles together, but their streak was snapped on Sunday 6-2. Victoria Linkovski and Brooklyn Bowen put up a good fight in a 6-4 defeat.

Linkovski and Camilla Mitolo were victors in singles. Both matchups went to three sets. Mitolo beat South Carolina State's Ashikha Amalnathan 6-4, 4-6, 1¹⁰-0⁸. Linkovski took down Teodora Vujicic 4-6, 7⁷-6⁴, 1¹²-0¹⁰.

Overall, South Carolina State won 5-2.

The Hornets are back home on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. They will host the Howard University Bison.
