Game 1 vs. Indiana State University:
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --Though they had plenty of opportunities, Delaware State had a hard time cashing them in, leaving 10 Hornets on base in a 9-1 setback at the hands of the Indiana State Sycamores on Saturday.
Freshman Kaylanie Rodriquez (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Delaware State (3-5). The right-hander went four innings, giving up three runs, zero earned, on five hits, allowing two walks and striking out one.
Offensively, the Hornets were led by freshman Zaelyn Harding, who went 1-for-4 on the day with an RBI. Freshman Leilah Dominguez compiled a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 2-for-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets were trailing 9-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Delaware State got an RBI single from Harding, scoring freshman Mi'Shon King from third base. The Hornets were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --Delaware State was on the wrong side of a dominant pitching performance Saturday as freshman Peyton Tanner threw a perfect game for Tennessee, leading the No. 7 Volunteers past the Hornets 11-0.
Freshman Devyn Carlson (0-1) got the ball to start for Delaware State (3-6) and took the loss.

Delaware State managed to get one balls out of the infield in the loss.
