Newark, DE. — On Friday, December 19, 2025, Delaware State University women's wrestling made history with a strong team performance on Thursday evening, defeating Greensboro College 34–4 in the Beast of the East College Dual. The Hornets controlled the matchup from start to finish, earning bonus-point victories in five of the contested bouts.
DSU opened the dual with forfeits at 110 and 131 pounds, giving the Hornets an early advantage. At 124 pounds,
Icart Galumette extended the lead with a dominant first-period technical fall, scoring a 10-0 victory in just 1:13 behind relentless offensive pressure.
Greensboro earned its lone points of the night at 138 with a tech fall, but the Hornets quickly regained full control. At 145,
Louise Juitt secured a second-period pin at 4:27 after a disciplined opening frame, capitalizing on a clean attack and immediate transition to the fall.
Haylie Briscoe followed at 160 with a 12-0 technical fall in 3:07, using consistent attacks and multiple four-point takedowns to widen the margin.
Aniyah McIver delivered the highlight of the dual at 180 pounds, recording the fastest finish of the night with a pin in just 42 seconds after driving straight to her opponent's back off the whistle.
Christina Lisboa closed out the dual at 207 with a win by medical default, adding 5 more points to the team total.
