DOVER, DE -- Delaware St. lost to Hampton 3-1 Sunday (Sept. 8) at home at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
The loss dropped Delaware St.'s record to 0-7-0 overall.
How it Happened
Hampton opened the scoring when Madisyn Strange scored in the 13th minute, assisted by Aileen Perez.
The Hornets evened the game on a goal from Trinity Surowiec -- her first goal of the season -- in the 76th minute.
Hampton then busted up the 1-1 draw on Ellen Van Caenegem's 81st-minute goal.
The Lady Pirates made it a 3-1 lead with an 85th-minute goal from Zaria Ascue, assisted by Nylah Jennings. The score finished the 3-1 match.
