DOVER -- Delaware St. fell to FDU 5-1 Thursday (Sept. 19) at home at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
The loss dropped Delaware St.'s record to 0-9-0 overall and 0-1-0 in DI Independent play.
How it Happened
FDU started the scoring when Katie Ward scored in the eighth minute, assisted by Ana Salas.
The Knights tacked on another score on a goal from Katia Cardaba in the 13th minute, assisted by Andrea Ougaard.
FDU went up 3-0 on Ward's 19th-minute goal.
The Knights made it a 4-0 lead with a 50th-minute goal from Helena Lehr, assisted by Anna Cacciuttolo.
Delaware St. narrowed the gap on FDU to make it a 4-1 game on Nicole Cargill's first goal of the season in the 65th minute.
The Knights' lead grew to 5-1 thanks to a 71st-minute goal from Cacciuttolo, assisted by Kiomy Luperon. The score was the last of the game.
