PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The Delaware State men's track and field program continued the Outdoor season at the 2024 Penn Relays on Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27. The Meet was highlighted by several personal records.
Final Results
On the men's side, Alonzo Sims Jr ran a season-best of 53.29 in the 400 hurdles.
The 4x100 meter relay team finished 12th in the prelims running out of the very difficult lane two on the nine-lane track. The Hornets ran a faster time than Texas A&M. The Hornets did sprint past power five opponents Syracuse, Penn State, Maryland, and Ohio State.
In the late cool evening, the men's Sprint Medley ran the third fastest time in school history with a time of 3:27.90.
