STATE COLLEGE, PA --The Delaware State volleyball team lost to the Penn State Lady Lions 3-0 (4-25, 20-25, 18-25) Friday on the road at Rec Hall.
The non-conference loss moved Delaware State to 17-14 on the season.
Gerren Tomlin finished with six kills on the day to lead the Hornets attack. got 6 digs from Tomlin to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Hornets found themselves in an early hole, losing a tough first set 25-4. Delaware State trailed by as many as 21 points as Penn State grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Lady Lions took control.
SET 2 | Delaware State fell in set two 25-20, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. In spite of pinpoint serving, the Hornets dropped the set. Delaware State notched five aces in the set loss.
SET 3 | Delaware State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Hornets lost the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set 25-18.
