LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - The Delaware State University women's soccer team fell to Rider University 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at Ben Cohen Field.
With 18 minutes remaining in the second half, Freshman Nicole Cargill, scored for the the second time this season and in her collegiate career. Alexia Lilly came in clutch with the assist.
Along with Cargill's goal, Audrey Abel and Ciani Ricks recorded a shot for Delaware State.
Defensively, Ashley Maribo tallied 14 saves out of the 18 shots on goal from Rider.
Delaware State returns to action Thursday, September 14 fto kickoff conference play against Howard University. Kickoff from Washington, DC is scheduled for 7 p.m.
