TEANECK, N.J. --- The Delaware State baseball team opened a three-game Northeast Conference (NEC) series with Fairleigh Dickinson with a 26-8 loss on Friday.
Â
A
Trey Paige sac fly and
Krew Bouldin RBI-single to start the game off with a 2-0 Delaware State lead would be the only advantage the Hornets saw on the afternoon as the Knights responded with a 10-run bottom of the opening frame and never looked back.
Â
Alec Rodriguez and
Chris Amparo led Delaware State's offensive efforts with a pair of hits each. Amparo drove in a team-high two RBIs by way of two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning for his sixth long ball of the season.
Delaware State will attempt to even the series tomorrow. First pitch is currently scheduled for 1 p.m.
