Hornets travel to Eagles for Monday night MEAC matchup

DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's basketball team will travel to Baltimore, Maryland for a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) matchup with Coppin State tomorrow night.
 
Both teams enter Monday night's contest coming off of a loss looking to get back into the win column.
 
Delaware State is looking for its third win in MEAC competition and will look to the guard duo of Savannah Brooks and Alexis Moragne to get the Hornets back on track. Brooks leads the offensive efforts with a team-high 152 points scoring 9.5 points per game while Moragne is right behind her with 138 points for an average of 8.6 points per game.
 
Coppin State comes into the matchup hoping to snap its current four-game skid. The Eagles will turn to the two-headed monster of Jewel Watkins and Mossi Staples to lead Coppin State back to its winning ways. Watkins (14.8 points per game) and Staples (14.5 points per game) currently lead the Eagles' offensive efforts as they both average well above double-digits in points per game.
 
The Eagles have won three straight in the series while the Hornets are in search for their first win in the series since the 20-21 season.
