BALTIMORE, Md. --- The Delaware State baseball team lost a midweek nonconference contest to University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) 13-1 on Tuesday.
 
Alec Rodriguez recorded a multi-hit performance while Jancarlos Colon drove in the team's only run by way of an RBI-single in the top of the sixth.
 
Chris Amparo, Evan Bouldin, Krew Bouldin, Myles Eaddy, Nick Gnardellis, Jordan King and Trey Paige all notched a hit in today's game. Amparo, Gnardellis, King and Paige all drew one free base as well.
 
Delaware State will open the home portion of the 2023 season on Friday against Saint Peter's University on Friday. First pitch from Bob Reed Field located on DSU's Downtown Campus is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
