DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State men's cross country team hosted the DSU Farm Invite over the weekend.
 
As a team, the Hornets finished first place over fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foes Coppin State University and Morgan State University. The Hornets clocked a total time of 2:20:57 averaging 28:11 per finish.
 
Delaware State was led by sophomore 
Devin Smith who came in first place for the second time in 2022. Smith clocked a final time of 26:59.1 with a 19-second lead over the rest of the field.
 
Mosa Aboeid, 
Jose Rivera-Yetter and 
Ezekiel Dawkins all clinched top-five finishes in route to the home meet win. Aboeid came in second with a time of 27:18.5, Rivera Yetter placed third after running a time of 28:02.3 and Dawkins finished fifth after posting a final time of 28:39.7.
 
Delaware State returns to action this Saturday in Newark, Delaware at the Delaware Invitational hosted by University of Delaware.
