DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State women's soccer team honored its senior members before competing against the Pirates of Hampton University under the Friday night lights of Alumni Stadium.

After battling to a scoreless first half,
Mackenzie Burns got on the board for the game's first score with just under 12 minutes left in regulation.

Hampton would not go away quietly as the Pirates tied the game at 1 with nearly three minutes left in the game.

Defensively,
Ashley Maribo tallied six saves during her time in net.

Delaware State returns to action this weekend for a road game against South Carolina State University. Kickoff on Sunday is currently scheduled for 2 p.m.
