SALISBURY, Md. --- The Delaware State women's cross country team competed in the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University on Saturday.

As a team, the Hornets placed third overall with a total time of 2:04:41.2 and an average of 24:56.3.

Delaware State was led by
Ashley Lagat who claimed a top-five finish coming in fifth with a final time of 23:55.5.

Ava Larkin clinched a top-10 finish over own after crossing the line in ninth place clocking a final time of 24:16.0.

Rounding out the Hornet runners were
Danielle Fleurima who finished 21st with a time of 25:21.7,
Purity Kattam who finished 27th with a time of 25:32.9 and
Ashley Stanley right behind Kattam in 28th with a time of 25:35.3.

Delaware State returns to action Friday, October 7 at home for the Farm Invite.
