The Game
Delaware State (0-9, 0-0 MEAC) returns to the friendly confines of Memorial Hall for the first time since December 4. The Hornets open MEAC action against the North Carolina Central University Eagles (1-11, 0-3 MEAC) and both teams will be looking for its first win in conference play.
The Hornets will be looking to their freshman phenoms
Sianny Sanchez-Oliver and
Unique Miller to lead them into the win column. Sanchez-Oliver currently leads her squad in points (87) scoring an average of 9.7 per game. Miller sits in second place on the team in rebounds hauling in 7.3 per contest and both of whom have garnered Rookie of the Week honors from the MEAC.
North Carolina Central will be looking to senior guard Necole Hope to guide the Eagles to their first win in conference this season. Hope is averaging a team-best 12.4 points per game.
The Series
Delaware State has won the last two matchups by scores of 64-60 and 64-54 and the Hornets enter Saturday's game looking to make it three in a row against the Eagles.
