Dover, Del. (Aug. 26, 2021) --- The Delaware State women's soccer team will take to the field for two home contests at Alumni Stadium this weekend.
The home stand begins with a visit by Howard on Fri. (Aug. 27) at 7:00 p.m.  This will be the first meeting between the Hornets and Bison sine the teams played to a scoreless tie in 2015, however, Delaware State won 3-0 the last time the teams met at Alumni Stadium in 2014.
This will be the second 2021 contest for both teams. Delaware State opened the season with a 5-0 home loss to Hartford on Aug. 19. DSU only trailed 1-0 until the Hawks got some breathing room by scoring four goals from the 72^nd to 75^th minute.
Howard began the new season with a 3-1 home victory over Hampton on Monday.
Delaware State will welcome American University to Alumni Stadium on Sunday (Aug. 29) for a 2:00 p.m. match.
The Hornets and Eagles last met in 2015, with American coming out on top 1-0 at Alumni Stadium.
