THE GAME 
Delaware State (2-7, 0-0 MEAC) looks to snap a five -game skid in a home contest against St. Francis Brooklyn. The Hornets are coming off a 96-60 loss to Liberty on Dec. 6. The Flames hit 21 three-pointers in the game, shooting a sizzling 55.3% from the beyond the arc. Delaware State's Dominik Fragala tied for game-high honors with 18 points in the contest. Fragala knocked down four three-pointers on seven attempts to tie his season high for threes in a game. Freshman guard Avery Richardson came off the bench to finish second on the Hornets with a career-high 14 points on five-for-nine shooting from the field, including three-of-five on three-point shots. DSU's D'Marco Baucum recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Baucum has 33 rebounds in the last four games to raise his season average to 6.1 per game. Senior guard Myles Carter is tops on the Hornets and second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) in scoring at 15.7 points per game. He's also ninth in the league in rebounding at 5.9 per contest. Fragala ranks fourth in the MEAC with a 14.3 point per game average. He's also second in the league in three-pointers at 2.4 per game (22 total). Freshman point guard Corey Perkins is off to an impressive start to his collegiate career, ranking third among Hornet regulars in scoring at 7.2 points per game and second in the league in assists at 4.2 per contest. Junior center Chris Sodom is the No. 1 shot blocker in the MEAC with 19 (2.1 pg) and he's third in the league in rebounding at 7.2 per game.
 
St. Francis (1-8) dropped its first eight games before recording its first win, 71-60, at St. Peter's (N.J.) on Wednesday. The Terriers trailed 32-28 at the half in the contest, but outscored St. Peter's 43-28 in the final 20 minutes. :Larry Moreno led four St. Francis double-figure scorers with 18 points (7-8 FT) in the game. Moreno was five-for-eight from the field, including four-of-seven on three-point shots, in the game. Michael Cubbage recorded a double-double for the Terriers with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Rob Higgins chipped in with 13 points for St. Francis in the last outing. Cubbage is the Terriers' leading scorer at 11.7 points per game, and also averages a team-high 6.2 rebounds per contest. Patrick Emilien is SFB's second-leading scorer at 11.1 points per game. Higgins leads the team with 19 assists.        
 
Series History (Delaware State leads 3-2)
This will be the first meeting between the teams in seven years, and sixth overall. Delaware State won the last meeting 72-64 on Dec. 16, 2014 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to open up a 3-2 series lead  The contest was highlighted by a career-high 48 points by DSU's Amere May, the second-best single-game scoring total in team history. The last time the teams met at Delaware State, St. Francis posted a 60-57 win in 2013. The Hornets defeated SFB 105-103 in overtime during the 1994-95 season.
