HORNETS’ STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CENTER BACK IN BUSINESS

Dover, Del. (Sep. 8, 2020) --- Delaware State athletics is another step closer to normal. After being shut down for nearly six months due to the Covid19 pandemic, the Hornets' strength and conditioning center has resumed normal operations for the university's nearly 450 student-athletes.

Operating under strict state and university corona virus guidelines, groups of Hornets from began strength and conditioning activities in preparation for the anticipated return university sports later this semester or the beginning of the new year.

Despite the absence of student-athletes from the weight room since last March, Delaware State  strength and conditioning coach Todd Riedel believes the athletes kept up with their commitments throughout the shutdown.

"We maintained great communications with the teams throughout the summer, and although it's difficult to match all that's available in the weight room, I'm pleased with the work the athletes put in during the shutdown."
