Dover, Del. (Sep. 29, 2020) --- Dave Caputo is in his third year as Delaware State's head women's basketball coach. In his second season with the program, Caputo led DSU to a 12-18 overall record and 8-8 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in 2019-20, the most total and league wins by the team since the 2008-09 campaign. 
The 2019-20 Lady Hornets also posted the program's most home wins (8) in 11 years, ranked 13^th among all NCAA Division I teams in three-point defense and 38^th in forced turnovers.
In addition, the team improved its national RPI (rating percentage index) by 77 spots in Caputo's second season at the helm.
