The Game
Delaware State (11-13; 7-4 MEAC) is currently fifth in the MEAC standings, although its tied in the loss column with third place Morgan State (9-4) and fourth place North Carolina A&T (8-4). The Lady Hornets are trying to bounce back from a 66-55 loss to league leader Bethune-Cookman last Monday. DSU trailed 32-20 at the half and fell behind by as many as 20 points in the third quarter.
Janasia Law (jr.)Â was Delaware State's top scorer in the last outing with 13 points, while
Tierra Floyd (sr.) and Sha Collins (jr.) added 11 points each. Floyd also led all players with eight rebounds in the game. The Lady Hornets have already topped their overall (7) and MEAC (5) win totals for all of last season. Collins is averaging 12.6 points per game to rank 10th in the MEAC in scoring. A two-time MEAC Co-Player of the Week, Collins is also among the league leaders in field goal percentage, assists, free throw percentage, steals, three-point FG Pct. and minutes played. Turner (jr.) is second on the Lady Hornets and 17th in the league in scoring at 11.5 points per game. Turner is also the No. 3 free throw shooter in the MEAC at 78.8% (52-for-66) and is fourth in the league in three-point field goals at 2.1 per game (50 total). Ashe has climbed to third on the Lady Hornets and 23rd in the MEAC with a 9.6 point per average.    Â

Coppin State (3-22; 3-10 MEAC), after dropping its first 22 games, has won its last three, including a 57-55 upset at Norfolk State last Monday. The Lady Eagles led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before holding off a late Norfolk State rally. CSU's Chance Graham led all players with 22 points (9-15 FGs) and 14 rebounds, while Aliyah Lawson added 16 points (3 3ptFGs) and five assists. Graham is tops on the team and 15th in the MEAC in scoring at 11.7 points per game. She's also second in the league in rebounding at 9.4 per contest. The three-game win streak has moved the Lady Eagles to eighth place in the current MEAC standings.                    Â
DSU vs CSU Series History (CSU leads 41-28)
This is the second meeting between the teams this season. Delaware State won the first contest 72-55 on Feb. 1 in Dover, Del. The Lady Hornets trailed 12-11 after the first quarter, but led 33-28 at the half. DSU won the second half 39-27.
Tierra Floyd (sr.) led a balanced Delaware State scoresheet with 14 points on five-for-nine shooting from the field, including three-of-six on three-point shots. Floyd was also the Lady's Hornets' top rebounder with nine in the contest. Ashe added 13 points, while Collins chipped in 10 in this year's first meeting against Coppin State. CSU's Chance Graham led all players with 19 points (7-12 FG) and 10 rebounds.  Â
