THE GAME
Delaware State (3-22; 2-9 MEAC) has lost its last five games, the last two in heartbreaking  fashion.  The Hornets is coming off a 70-69 loss to Bethune-Cookman last Monday. The Wildcats scored the winning points on two free throws with 6.1 seconds left. DSU had the last possession in the game, but John Crosby's potential game-winning shot from close range rolled off the rim as time expired. DSU's previous game was a 97-95 double overtime loss to Florida on Feb. 15. DSU led late in the regulation and first overtime before allowing late baskets by the Rattlers to force extra sessions in that game. He has reached the 20-point mark in 12 games this season, including four with 30-or-more points. Crosby needs two points to become the first DSU player since Amere May in 2014-15 to reach the 500-point mark in a season. Carter has reached double figures in scoring in four of the last five  games after scoring 10-or-more points in five of the Hornets' first 19 contests. Ameer Bennett (jr.) is DSU's second leading scorer (10.2 ppg) and top rebounder at 6.1 per game to rank ninth in the MEAC entering Monday's games. Wiley is fifth in the MEAC in assists at 3.4 per game (84 total), while Crosby is sixth in the category (3.3 pg).

Coppin State (8-20; 4-9 MEAC) is currently ninth in the MEAC standings. The Eagles have dropped two straight and three of their last four games.
