The Game
Delaware State (11-12; 7-3 MEAC) has a chance to pick up ground on the MEAC's first place team. The Lady Hornets are currently third in the league standings at 7-3, while Bethune-Cookman is the league leader at 10-1. Norfolk State is in second place with a 9-1 league record. The Lady Hornets have their best 10-game MEAC record since the 2008-09 season (8-2). DSU has won two straight and four of its last five games. The Lady Hornets are coming off a 61-53 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday.

A two-time MEAC Co-Player of the Week, Collins is also among the league leaders in field goal percentage, assists, free throw percentage,Ā Ā steals, three-point FG Pct. and minutes played. Turner Ā (jr.) is second on the Lady Hornets and 15th in the league in scoring at 12.0 points per game. Turner is also the No. 3 free throw shooter in the MEAC at 79.7% (51-for-64) and tied for fourth in the league in three-point field goals at 2.2 per game (50 total). Bethune-Cookman (18-5; 10-1Ā MEAC) has won its last 10 games to hold a 1/2 game in the MEAC standings (as of Feb. 16). The Wildcats are coming off a 62-53 victory at Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday. BCU' trailed 32-29 at the half, but outscored the Hawks 33-21 in the final two quarter. Amaya Scott led the Wildcats with a game-high 22 points on 10 of 11 shooting from the field and also pulled down 10 rebounds to lead all players. Daniella Hatcher was the only other BCU player to reach double figures with 11 points in the Maryland-Eastern Shore contest. Scott is tops on the Wildcats and eighth in the MEAC in scoring at 13.0 points per game. She also has the best shooting percentage in the MEAC at 52.9% and is 11th in the league in rebounding at 6.2 per game. Hatcher is 16th in the MEAC in scoring at 11.6 points per game. DSU vs BCU Series History (DSU leads 36-30)
This is the only scheduled meeting between the teams this season. Bethune-Cookman has won the last four contests, although Delaware State holds a 36-30 lead in the series. BCU won the lone 2018-19 contest 67-52 in Daytona Beach, Fla. Delaware State has not defeated Bethune-Cookman since a dramatic 72-71 victory on a last-second shot in Dover, Del., on Feb. 2, 2015.Ā Ā Ā
