Staten Island, NY (Feb. 14) --- The Delaware State Hornets competed in the Fastrack National Invite on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Tre Johnson secures the only individual first place finish of the night for the Hornets, as Johnson places first in the triple jump for the fourth time this season, with a mark of 14.62 meters.
Julian Brown, Kendall Leach, Keith Washington and Edwin Rosembert places 1st in the 4 x 400 relay with a time of 3-minutes-17.99 seconds.
Gerald Amobi places second in the 400 meters with 50.28 seconds. Edwin Rosembert grabs fifth place with 50.55 seconds.
Dante Artis places third in the 60 meters with a career best time of 7.21 seconds.
Jared Keaton finishes third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 6.92 seconds.
Kavante Dawson (8.32 seconds) and Elijah Mclaren (8.35 seconds) finishes fourth and sixth respectively in the 60 hurdles invite finals. Both of their times qualify them for the IC4A/ECAC (super conference) meet.
Donte Rolley-Williams finishes fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 1-minute-58.16 seconds.
Kavante Dawson places fifth (22.60 seconds) and Kendall Leach finishes eighth (22.74 seconds) in the 200 meters.
Kendall Leach (49.46 seconds) Julian Brown (49.77 seconds) and Donte Rolley-Williams (49.84 seconds) finishes sixth, eighth and ninth respectively in the 400 meters invite finals.
Ibrahim Bangura finishes seventh in the 60 meters invite finals, crossing the line in 6.90 seconds. Bangura also finishes seventh in the 200 meters invite finals with a season's best time of 22.22 seconds. That mark qualifies him for the IC4A/ECAC meet.

For many of Delaware State track athletes the indoor regular season is over, and their focus turns to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championships. The three-day tournament starts February 27th through February 29th in Landover, Maryland. However, some members might participate in the Armory Last Chance meet on Feb. 21 as one last tune up before the MEAC Championships.
