The Game
Delaware State hits the road for the first time this season, visiting George Mason of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Lady Hornets are trying to rebound from a 72-55 home loss to Division II Lincoln (Pa.) in their most recent outing on Dec. 16. DSU was plagued by poor shooting in the contest, hitting just 21 of their 64 shots from the floor (32.8%), including six-of-27 on three-point shots (22.2%). The Lady Hornets also hurt their cause by committing 20 turnovers in the Lincoln contest. Sharajah Collins (sr.) was a bright spot for DSU in the game, tying for game-high honors with 18 points, highlighted three three-pointers. Her fellow backcourt mate Janasia Law (sr.) was the only other double-figure scorer  in the game for the Lady Hornets with 14 points on six-for-nine shooting from the floor. For the season, Collins and Law are 1-2 on the Lady Hornets in scoring. Collins, a pre-season All-MEAC Second Team selection, is the team's scoring leader at 14.5 points per game. Law is DSU's second leading scorer at 11.0 points per game. The pair is also tied for the team lead with four three-point field goal and five assists each. Zoe Holmes (sr.) is Delaware State's top rebounder at 9.5 per game. Holmes tied her career-high with 10 boards in the Lady Hornets' season-opening 58-51 win over Rider on Dec. 5. As a team, Delaware State is averaging 56.5 points per game on 36.3% shooting this season. The Lady Hornets do enjoy  a rebound advantage over their opponents this season, averaging 42.5 boards per game compared to 31.0 for the opposition through two games this year.              

George Mason is looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The Patriots are coming off a 64-34 loss to Mississippi on Dec. 19. Ole Miss was averaging more than 89 points per game entering the contest. Marika Korpinen is GMU's leading scorer at 11.5 points per game, while Daijah Jefferson is a close second at 11.2 per contest. Jefferson is also the team's top rebounder at 8.8 per game, while Korpinen has a team-high 22 assists.
