With this defeat, the Hornets remained winless all-time against GW, while the Colonials picked up their second win in a row.

For GW, leading point-getter Mackenzie Cowley connected for both of Sunday's goals.  The first occurred early in the first half during the 12th minute with put it past DSU's Michele Lammers from about 22 yards out, after receiving a pass from defender Mia Barreda.  The second strike, meanwhile, took place during 69th minute with midfielder Ingrid DiClemente finding Cowley at close range.

Offensively for DSU, it marked the seventh time it has been shutout this time season, as the Hornets tallied five shots with each attempt resulting in GW saves.  The Colonials, on the other hand, totaled 11 shots, in addition to nine corner kicks to DSU's none.
